Mid-Continent Coal and Coke Co. (MCC), a privately held, U.S. corporation with offices
headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, was founded in 1942 as a metallurgical coal and coke producer.
Today MCC is an international organization selling coal, coke, and petroleum coke, specializing in
the sale of small-size coke.
With 14 coke screening facilities and three carbon drying operations in North America, Mid-Continent Coal and Coke has a network capable of shipping by truck, rail, barge, or ship in
quantities of 25 tons to 65,000 tons. Custom-bagging is also available for delivery of smaller
quantities. Operating in 8 states and with sales offices in Cleveland and Chicago, MCC is well-
positioned geographically to respond to demand for industrial carbon products both domestically
and overseas. MCC employs approximately 80 valued individuals.
An experienced and dedicated sales staff ensures that Mid-Continent Coal and Coke has a reliable
supply of products with consistent, superior quality at competitive prices. MCC values having
long-term relationships with all major iron and steel producers in North America. We are
recognized by these producers as the leader in providing a steady source of markets for their by-product coke.
Recently, Mid-Continent Coal and Coke has become an approved supplier of carbon materials in
the SIT 2000 process of pneumatic injection. MCC has been working with Bailey-Stein to deliver
a complete, high quality, modern technology injection system that delivers an exact amount of fixed
carbon to the hot metal, providing a more efficient and reliable furnace operation.
